362 MW Coal based AMGEN
The 362 MW AMGEN Power plant is one of the oldest operating power stations in the country. The first Power Plant at STPS became operational in 1934 with 37.5 MW capacity having configuration of 2x 3.75 MW and 4x7.5 MW. Since then the Station has passed through several phases of capacity addition, up-gradation and modernization to cater to the growing power requirements of the twin cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. All necessary supporting systems and facilities in the Station have also been upgraded and strengthened from time to time to comply with statutory requirements and also to meet the growing requirements of the plant. The power plant currently consists of D station – 120 MW, E station – 121 MW and F station – 121 MW. AMGEN is one of the best power plants among its age group, fleet and technology. AMGEN is also certified with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 50001: 2011, ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
