Project Site:
Security of fuel supply will ensure reliability of power and nearness to point of gas terminals will not only reduce other risks but also be of economic advantage.

The site offers the following key advantages:-

Proximity to Torrent Power’s distribution license area in Surat City ,
a major load centre and which is envisaged to consume approx. 50% of
the power generated by SUGEN 1147.5 MW CCPP

Proximity to Tapi River (3 kms), a perennial river, which would meet the
entire water requirement of the project

Proximity to two LNG terminals and gas pipelines:

	Dahej LNG terminal of Petronet LNG Limited (approx.100 kms), capacity of 5 mtpa proposed to be expanded to 12.5 mtpa
	Shell Hazira LNG terminal (approx. 50 km) with a capacity of 2.5 MTPA proposed to be expanded to 3.5 MTPA
	Mora-Sajod pipeline (approx. 20 kms), the main trunk gas pipeline of the gas pipeline network of Gujarat State Petronet Ltd
	Hazira-Bijapur-Jagdishpur pipeline (approx. 15 km)
	Dahej-Uran pipeline (approx. 19 km)
	East West gas pipeline which connects the Krishna Godavari Basin to Gujarat (approx 11 km)
