The Receiving Capacity was reinforced
with an addition of 120 MVA, and a commensurate increase
in Distribution Capacity by 118 MVA.

area grew from 475 MVA to 496 MVA and the Company’s
customer base expanded from 4.21 lac to 4.57 lac customers.

in reducing the “No Power” complaints and
power restoration time continued to yield dividend with
a further 5% reduction in FY 2003-04.

in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) losses at 12.98%
compared to 14.23 % in FY 2002-03.

The Company commissioned its 10th
Receiving Station ‘F2’ at Singanpore - Tunki
area within budgeted costs and time frame.

listed on National Stock Exchange (NSE) and trading commenced
from 25th August 2003.

The Company has signed a long term
Power Purchase Agreement with Torrent Power Generation
Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle promoted by your Company
along with The Ahmedabad Electricity Company Limited and
Torrent Private Limited for setting up 1000 - 1147.5 MW
gas based Combined Cycle Power Project to purchase 50%
of its capacity and energy generated therefrom on a dedicated
basis. |
