Torrent Power Limited has commissioned and started commercial generation of electricity from the third unit of 382.5 MW of SUGEN power plant on 15th August, 2009.

Thus, the total installed capacity of 1147.5 MW (382.5 MW x 3) of SUGEN gas-based combined cycle power plant has commenced commercial operation.
