Tariff Categories (for low and medium voltage connections)
RGP
(Residential General Purpose)
Applicable to lights, fans and
domestic appliances for heating, cooling, cleaning and refrigeration
in residential premises.
GLP (General Lighting Purpose)
Applicable to lights, fans and
domestic appliances for heating, cooling, cleaning and refrigeration
purposes in premises other than residential like public hospitals,
dispensaries, educational and research institutions, religious
premises etc. Such premises should be in use of 'public trust'
as defined under section 2(13) of the Bombay Public Trust
Act 1950.
IGP (Industrial General Purpose)
Applicable to lights, fans
and domestic appliances for heating, cooling, cleaning and
refrigeration purposes in industrial premises including office
premises attached to factories provided that the rating of
individual appliances does not exceed 2 kW.
CGP (Commercial
General Purpose)
Applicable to lights, fans and domestic appliances
for heating, cooling, cleaning and refrigeration purposes in
premises other than residential, those covered by the rate
GLP and the rate IGP, provided that the rating of individual
appliances does not exceed 2 kW.
LTP 1 (Low Tension Power)
Applicable to motive power installations
upto and including 15 BHP of connected load used for residential
purpose and pumping stations run by local authorities.
LTP 2 (Low Tension
Power)
Applicable to motive power installation upto and including
15 BHP of connected load excluding installations for agricultural
purpose and those covered under LTP1 category.
LTMD 1 (Low
Tension Maximum Demand)
Applicable to motive power installations
above 15 BHP of connected load used for residential purpose
and pumping stations run by local authorities.
LTMD 2 (Low Tension
Maximum Demand)
Applicable to motive power installations above
15 BHP of connected load excluding installations for agricultural
purpose and those covered under LTP1 category.
HTMD
Applicable for supply of energy to High Tension consumers contracting for maximum demand of 100 KW and above. (Other than pumping stations run by local authorities)
HT PUMPING STATIONS
Applicable for supply of energy to water and sewage pumping stations run by local authorities and contracting for maximum demand of 100 KW and above.
