Torrent Power continues to put in significant efforts to reinforce and develop its system network and infrastructure to improve the quality and reliability of supply. This includes

   Total Receiving Stations - 15 Nos. with 1975 MVA Power Transformer
     Capacity.
   Total Distribution Sub-Stations 2224 Nos. with 1248 MVA Distribution
     Capacity.
   11 KV HT Network having 371 Nos. outgoing feeders in Ring Main
     (Mesh) System, which provides 100% Load Transfer Facility.
   Optimum capacity created in LT Distribution Network to carry out
     necessary Load transfer in case of contingency.

These efforts have resulted in internal distribution system reliability in excess of 99.97% during FY 2009-10.

The system peak demand was registered at 566 MVA during the FY 2009-10 which has grown by 6.79% over previous year. The sales at 3027 MUs registered a growth of 4.11% in sales volume over previous year.

Torrent Power recorded a YoY growth of 1.76% in Number of customers in the city of Surat in FY 2009-10.
