Torrent Power has a 100 MW Combined Cycle Dual Fuel Power Plant located at Vatva in Ahmedabad.

The station consists of two gas turbines each of 32.5 MW and a steam turbine of 35 MW capacity.

The Plant is located near a major industrial load centre in GIDC, Vatwa, in order to reduce the transmission and distribution losses and to maintain quality of power to the customers

Highlights of the year 2004-05

	Due to non availability of gas and sharp increase in cost of liquid fuel, the plant was kept as standby and used only during emergencies. With availability of Gas, the CCPP at Vatva was back in to operation from 19th May 2004 and generated 557 MUs during 2004-05
	The Plant Availability Factor was 88.74 % compared to 88.09% in ’03-‘04
	The Plant Load Factor was 63.55 %
