Torrent Power is setting up a standalone power project with a capacity of 382.5 MW at its existing SUGEN Power Plant site. The project, called the UNOSUGEN Project, will increase the total generation from the SUGEN Plant site to 1530 MW when commissioned.
The EPC contract for setting up UNOSUGEN has been awarded to Siemens alongwith the Long Term Supply and Service Contracts. The project has been accorded the 'Mega Power' status by the Ministry of Power, Government of India and is currently under implementation. It has received the Environmental Clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India.
